disassembling the stock carb 2003 YFZ450R

I'm trying to help my bro to disassemble the stock carb on my YFZ, and we've hit a bit of a roadblock.

We both are new to this DIY, and we're stuck specifically on the accelerator pump actuator arm. I've already pulled off the "C" clip and the washer, but it just won't budge any further. We're trying to figure out how to get that thing completely apart.

Has anyone dealt with this before on a 2003 YFZ450R carb? Any tips or tricks on how to get that actuator arm disassembled would be a huge help! Thanks in advance!

For the 2003 YFZ450R carb accelerator pump arm, after the C-clip and washer, sometimes those just get really sticky.
Try carefully wiggling and rotating it while pulling.
You can also try applying a penetrating oil like WD-40 applied to the pivot point and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
That can often help free it up without needing to force anything.

When you say wiggle and rotate while pulling, do you mean rotating the arm around its pivot like a hinge, or twisting it along the shaft axis?

Good question from @Y0nko. It's rotating the arm on its pivot like a hinge while gently pulling outward, not twisting it on the shaft. Those get varnished in place over time, so patience and light pressure go a long way.
