I got the 2006 yfz 450 for a very cheap price but as we all know that also comes with a price :) The previous owner wasn't really a big fan of maintaining his atv so now i have to make an engine rebuild. Is there any manual that can help me with that? I don't wanna start without knowing what should be done step by step, this way i feel like im blindfolded.

oh man, I know the feeling, YFZ450 with a cheap price is mouthwatering, I'm sure. but it stresses me out when there's too much to repair. good luck to you!

got a friend whos been there, picked up his'06 YFZ450 cheap and ended up with a pile of someone else's problems. Engine was toast, cam chain rattled like hell, funny thing is we all thought I scored, but it came at a cost. So yeah definitely get the Clymer or OEM yamaha service manual. It's got all the teardown steps, torque specs, and clearances. Saved us from guessing and messing things up worse.

It's more trouble than it all is worth. Don't settle for cheap. Hahaha dang. I didn't realize that you already bought it. Whyyy.

Totally get wanting a guide before diving in! There's a downloadable repair manual covering 2004–2010 YFZ450s online. just search it up on atvrepairmanual. com
